Adobe finally dropped capture support in last months update.

Yeah good riddance Adobe capture. It’s good there new updates don’t have that feature. Just one less bad software for people that don’t know better to try.

It just never worked. I started using Adobe Premiere at version 5. Not CS5, but 5, back in the mid 90s. Capturing in Adobe was one of the first things I tried, but saw it was a mess. Adobe software made lots of advancements over the years, and I kept retrying capture. It just never changed, and should have been removed a decade ago. Additionally, Premiere was too DV centric for SD video. It made bad assumptions, and still does for SD sources. It was irritating to always have to change projects (before starting!) from BFF to TFF, especially considering only DV is BFF, everything else is TFF.

Adobe crashed during capture a lot with me but I didn’t look into anything like I should of. I didn’t know what I was doing and I tried to rely on YouTube as a guide. There is always going to be bad methods. It’s just up to people to look into it. I’ve enjoyed learning from the this site though. The guide kinda spoon feeds a lot of useful information off of the bat. It helps people to really understand what is going on instead of press this then this. Then there are explanations of why certain methods are bad. There’s testing of things that warrant it. You can use the search tool and search about any topics in the forum. When people say inaccurate information it gets fact checked by people that know what they are talking about. People can learn a ton without even asking a question and it definitely gives people the tools to spot what should be obvious BS.
