I am sad to inform you that Dan Ogilvie, the brains behind Singmai, has passed away from cancer.
His wife just sent me the news.
At this time I have no idea what will happen to the intellectual property, or the business, nor dare I ask.

When I heard the news about his passing I was saddened, I kind of predicted already that this was the case. Obviously in this situations every project he was working on will end, we've seen it before with Videoredo for example.

I reached out to VideoReDo multiple times, post-passing, offering to archive the forum. From my understanding, in conversations with his former employee, the widow wanted lots of money for it (unrealistic), and seemingly didn't care about the userbase/community. It eventually went offline, and that was that. The Archive.org Wayback does a horrible job at forums, and none of it is there either. It's just gone.

I was talking to some other VH old-timers recently, and we're afraid members like orsetto and sanlyn are gone.

Everything just seems wrong in recent years.
