I had my UPS set to sensitive on the CyberPower app and that UPS is this one https://amzn.to/3r3OlGS

I noticed that my oranges would flicker pretty bad. The flicker was a lot worse if I raised my chroma on my
Proc amp but the proc amp seems to work more on red and warm colors. The color and tint buttons are like the slider on the Panasonic. It’s best to leave it alone. Anyways I’m not connected to the CyberPower app now and my colors look better and my oranges aren’t flickering now. The only thing I can think of is the sensitive setting I used to use on the UPS.

I relooked at that and the blinking of the oranges isn’t related to the UPS. I did all that again and got opposite results. I guess different plays of the tape are worse about blinking. The original camera that shot it is crap so that’s probably the main culprit.

Yeah I can see the colors that the camera joins together to make orange. Also the video was shot in high contrast and the camera did poorly in low light. It’s composite so the Luma and chroma were sent down the same cable and the elevated luma messed with the rise time of the chroma which caused chroma noise around my oranges. I’ll mess with that in software and if I have trouble with it I’ll make a new thread about it.

I guess it’s best to leave tent, color, and sharpness alone really isn’t right. They are all great tools they just need to be used correctly like any other tool and that means not using them on a lot of tapes.
