I am new to all of this. So thank you in advance for any help.
I have a Hauppauge USB-Live2 capture card. I am attempting to use it with my Windows 7 PC to digitize some old VHS tapes. For whatever reason, I am unable to install drivers for the device on this machine. I tried on my Windows 10 tablet, and it worked fine. But I prefer to not use my tablet for this project as it is weak.
I was attempting to install the drivers by installing Hauppauge Capture from their website. Is it a case of this version being newer, and not supporting Windows 7 anymore? If so, would it be possible to find an older version, or just the specific driver file? My intention is to use a different program to do the capturing like Virtual Dub or AmaRecTV. I just need my PC to recognize the device.
