I've used the ES10 as passthrough from my VHS player using scart to scart (I'm in UK) connectors and feeding this to my Mac via a Magewell capture device.
I'd not used it for a month but it has remained plugged in and connected, but now the ES10 will not pass any VHS content through at all - there's just a fuzzy grey screen when on, and the regular OBS 'blue-screen' 'no signal' when the ES10 is not on. I've tried 2 different VHS players which both work fine on their own.
Whether the ES10 is on or off, there's no passthrough at all - I've tried using a new scart cable and still nothing.
I can play a DVD through the ES10 (via Magewell to my Mac) without issue. Has something in the ES10 settings reset to a default that now won't passthrough any other device? So am I missing something in the ES10 setup?

OBS is not the right capture software, too buggy, it's a screen capture software, try something else, Vdub, AmarecTV and the likes.

There is "input select" knob on remote. Try to change input, maybe wrong is selected. And it would be a good idea to recap power supply anyway. About software - as latreche wrote above.

Thanks, I discovered the 'input select' - quite a crucial part to the process!
I'm using a Mac, and using OBS seems to be working for me. I know that many software products advised here seem to be Windows-based.
