Just a quick update, wanted to thank lordsmurf and NJRoadfan for their help. We've captured about 30 tapes so far and they all look pretty good. Most are SP tapes. We are using a Firewire cable from the i.LINK output to the FW800 input of a Syba SY-PEX30016 card. We are using the TI chipset driver that Windows 7 32-bit suggested. We have a monitor connected to the RCA outputs so we can view the transfer. I'll post a sample M2T file once I find a place where I can host it.

Here's a short sample of what the above mentioned setup is doing for us. This particular clip probably isn't the best since it's dark lighting and the audio is fed from the PA mix into the left channel only but it gives you an idea. You can see some head switching at the bottom and this might be a dub from Betacam originally, I can't recall.
