My setup - Sony Betamax (SL-HF450) > ATI TV Wonder 600 USB > VirtualDub (Huffyuv) > Windows 7 64.

I noticed a line on the screen (right side). It is pretty pronounced on VDub.

I tried capturing directly to my DVD Recorder. The line is there but not as pronounced.

Is there a way to avoid/eliminate this altogether? If not, do I minimize by cropping?

I have attached a screenshot.

Crop it out. Its likely the line was always on the original tape, but hidden in the overscan portion of the signal. Looks like an early BetaMovie recording. Those are.... fun.... to capture.

Thanks for the reply. I have also noticed this on VHS recordings/captures (80s recordings). Is that normal?
