The biggest problem with hacking firmware is that it's essentially a 100% complete gamble. Hacking the LiteOn machines was a pretty unknown thing, with almost zero files available online ... that is, until I put it up on this site. That said, I did not make the hack, and have limited knowledge on editing the code (hex).

You can always download the 1163 official firmware (also found on the tips page) and just reflash. The units are pretty durable against bad flashes, in my experience (and from many reports I've gotten from others).
If there is no video, maybe the wiring is done wrong? Or you accidentally used the PAL and not the NTSC flash? Or maybe it was just bad, and you should try it again. Just experiment around a bit more before giving up. When you're convinced nothing is working, try the officials again, and that should hopefully set you straight.
