I thought this was a Mac compatible app but I only get a .exe file from the .zip download. Am I missing something. Thanks.

Gspot only works in Windows.

It doesn't work with Wine/WineBottler on Mac OS X, either. (I've not tested in Linux.)
You'd have to run Parallels Desktop or VMWare Fusion, with a copy of Windows, in order to run it. Or install Windows on a Bootcamp partition.

MediaInfo is a Linux native program that's been ported to OS X and Windows. That's what I use on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
