I'm hoping someone can help me identify an issue that I'm having and help me find the best way to fix it.
I have 3 captures of a home video (all of them are already deinterlaced), and used the Median plugin for Avisynth to create a cleaner copy of it in VirtualDubMod. Although I'm happy with the amount of glitches I've been able to eliminate, doing this has caused some strange lines which were not in the original captures. I've attached some pictures.
I just wondered if this is a colour banding issue caused by merging the 3 captures? – as playing around with the different options available under the 'chroma smoother' filter in VirtualDubMod seems to blend/eliminate the lines?
