Hi All,

Does the JVC HM-DH40000 suffer from overheating issues? I read where a person had to replace the fan unit in order to correct a problem. I also saw owners discuss the issue of overheating. Was wondering since I was looking at possibly buying one.

Also, how does the DM40000 & SR-V10U compare to each other, performance wise? Which is more reliable or just better? I plan to transfer to DVD and/or video files many VHS (home/family videos SP,LP,EP/SLP) and VHS-C tapes. Which of the two would provide better performance, as well as reliability? And I'm welcome to having professional maintenance accomplished when required. Just not every other month.

Any words of wisdom would be great before I purchase one of these decks on ebay. Thanks!
