What is the better long term choice for a Hi8 conversion:
DVD or BluRay?

Also, is there any substantial difference in image quality between the two formats in terms of a conversion? Like would a Hi8 converted to BluRay look closer to the original tape than a DVD would?

Lastly, I know there is a rule that you should only ideally convert 1 hour of footage per DVD so as to have better image quality/less compression. Is this same rule true for Blu-Ray?
