I'm trying to deinterlace my VHS capture in Virtualdub (for computer viewing).

Filter: Deinterlace: Yadif algorithm: Double frame rate, top field first...

When that's done rendering I open it in MediaInfo and the scan type is still saying: Interlaced.

Is it really interlaced or is MediaInfo incorrect?

Thanks in advance.

Edit:

Does this quote read true? "AVI files don't have a standard flag for indicating interlacing."

Try using QTGMC it is a lot better, As to media info, that's normal, If the file doesn't have a de-interlacing flag it will be displayed as interlaced, That has no effect on the playback.
