But putting them side-by-side and find a third one to do the last 2 channels.

(note : dvd2avi indicates a delay in the name of the files he generates. if you do not apply this delay when converting, all will be out of synch !)

ok but now we need more details:
first: dvd2avi don't convert the audio to ac3 but extract the ac3 if the vob have ac3 track audio!
second: now we are working with what "if you remember correctly" and this could be a problems cos you're not certain but have some doubt about this. then we can use the reference 0(zero)delay but with reserves!
third:what program did you use to convert from ac3 to mp2?
fourth:what parameters did you adjust in the encoder?(bitrate,44k or 48k,etc)
fifth: after you get the mp2, what program was used to mux the audio and video and the adjusts used to do this.
sixth: the loose of the sincro between audio/video happen in the pc(in what player?) or in your standalone dvd player(on tv)?
seventh:don't know if i forgot to ask something !?!?

see my friend oxycotton420, i need all details to search for the solution!
sometimes the solution is simple but all details are importants.

i was answering you when the connection down!
seems strange ac3--->Input Channels Mode: 2/0, Bitrate: 112kbps but it's not important now.
you forgot to post if you're doing mpeg1 or mpeg2 and if is kvcd, skvcd or kvcd! ....and how you adjusted in mpegtools(tmpgenc).

try bbmpeg to mux the audio/video, take a look in that picture:
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2224
for muxing kvcd it's ok but if you're doing skvcd(352x480 or 480x480) change to "svcd" in the "program stream settings" and adjust again to 0(zero) in "forced mux rate" .

post the result!
