Howdy all,

I was wondering whats the best method of creating dvds with multiple movies? I have been trying to use nero vision 3 and most times i cannot place even 2 different movies on a dvd.

i see alot of info here about kdvds but i cannot find any clear guides(must be blind) on creating one.

any help would be great!!

Use TMPGEnc with the templates here and having only MP2 audio for 3 movies and AC3 for three. Once you have the Video/audio, author it using DVD lab pro (my choice).

To calrify the answer from supermule : there is no guide for KDVD because there is no real need for a guide specific to KDVD. Doing a KVCD or a KDVD is the same thing, except for :

1/ the template you use in tmpgenc
2/ the audio that must be at 48 Khz and not 44.1 (so if you read a guide that mention how to convert form 48 to 44.1, forget this part).
3/ the authoring of the disc that need a DVD authoring tool. Guides for these tools can be found on the net, and their usage for KDVD is not different that for any other kind of DVD.

I have tried to use tmpenc with the kdvd 352x480 half-d1 ntsc template

But...

every file i try to convert i end up with a warning that the result is going to be bigger then a 4.7gb dvd. i tried it with a 700mb avi file and the converting says 6 hours and gave the warning before that.

My comp isnt that slow(p4 2.6, 768mb/ram) and i know when i use the kvcd template it only takes about a hour to convert

and ideas?

1/ you won't receive any help about converting a Divx into a DVD.
2/ the size of the encoded movie only depends on the bitrate and CQ. Go read about CQMatic on the forum, it will help you to find the correct CQ to turn your source into somethign that fit your DVD.

There is no reason the time diff is so big. But who knows with such a crappy source ?

Yes, I do, it helps in compression and correction, depending on source.
