hello ok first thing is thanks to all the experts here

ok im not going to go into a great deal of detail
but here is my problem ::

after creating my "movie.d2v" and "ac3 audio stream" with DGIndex
there is a -63 delay on the ac3 file.

i know this is normal and im using besweet to encode the ac3 to .mp2
and besweet should recognize the -63 delay

but after muxing with TMPGEnc there is still a sync problem

thanks again for any help kvcd.net

Have you tried muxing with MPLEX
http://www.kvcd.net/downloads/mplex.exe

That's not automatic ! You have to select (check) the correct options .
Did you have a "-ota( -d -63)" in the command line ?

thanks guys for the help

it must have been because i did not edit the command line

is this method possible>>>> decoding the ac3 to wav with DGIndex
then encoding the "wav" to mp2 with either besweet or TMPGEnc at 44.1khz/128kbps.

will this audio be good for muxing with kvcd video?

There's no need to decode to WAV first. The answer to your sync problem lies elsewhere, you could try encoding at 44.1kHz and 48kHz and check whether either one of them works.

As he is doing KVCD, the better would be to use 44.1 (even if we know that a lot of players support 4.
But I'm still convinced that all that he missed was to check the correct box in besweetGui.

@rifmeister
After you load the ac3 file into besweetGui, check the boxes "set delay to" and then "dvd2avi". You will see a parameters "-d" that appears on the command line. The value after the -d should be "-63".

i now know where the problem is

i have just been simply using "belight" instead of besweetGUI as i didnt know untill now what besweetGUI was.

a basic rundown of what i have been doing >>>>>>

I was just loading the AC3 into "belight" adjusting to 128kbps/44100Hz then encoding to .mp2 then i would multiplex this with my 352x288/25fps kvcd compiant mpeg using TMPGEnc as non standard vcd........

i have now downloaded the besweetGUI application and placed it in the same folder as "belight" is this what i should be doing?? because when i still click on "besweet.exe" its still saying i need to download a GUI for it and the GUI is actually in the belight folder ?? and i also have the besweet.exe in the "belight" folder which contains various .dll's aswell.

THANKS Dialhot. phil and everybody for the help

I did not understand really what you are doing with besweetGui but don't bother with it. Belight is also abble to fix the delay : just check the "delay" box and put "-63" as value.

Hi,
Is this mplex (which I find very useful and use a lot) based upon this one?
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mjpeg/

Because I read they released an updated version of mplex (mplex-2) last year. Is there some chance of an updated GUI mplex based on that, or am I completely wrong.

Thanks anyway.
