Hi,

I have used this forum and your help in the past, I had a movie which was split onto two 700mb avi files and i have successfully conerted it to two cd using this tutorial http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2331

The results were great much better than i expected and better than vcd. good considering the movie was 2hr 46mins long!!

Ive now tried using this tutorial to put a single 700mb avi movie onto two cds just changing the number of cds in tok to two. this generally create two mpeg file, one is 795mb the other approx 300-400mb.

Im sure the quality can be upped on these as there is another 3-400mb spare!!

Can any one point me in the optimal way of putting a single 700mb movie onto two cds at the highest quality please.

also sometimes when ive encoded the vids the play on pc fine but when burnt onto cd they are reading as mp3 discs?? therefore no video??

Great work keep it up love the idea of kvcd and im sure when ive fully cracked it with your help ill be even more amazed at the results!!!!

Hi Shorn...

well yes, you're right! you can get far better quality on 2 CDs, when there's still 400 mb room on the second one. The thing is ToK is still in an Alpha stage, so I can't really tell you what values to use to get an accurate prediction for a 2cd encode.

Try this: Use a factor of 0,99 and a 1% precision. this should get the file pretty close to about 1600mb...

btw: are you using avisynth and the latest filter combo?
