hi,

i have a few downloaded movies that i'm trying to encode and burn to disc. The first two i've done came out quite well, but there seem to be a few on my hard drive which tmpgenc "cannot open or are unsupported".

checked through avicodec and the video and audio files appear to be supported. Any suggestions why i get this error message up?

Supported okay but which codecs ?
Because ogg vorbis for instance can't be used directly into tmpgenc.

Be cool Incredible. As long as we don't know what was DLed, the content is supposed to be legal.

We all use DLed tools to make our KVCD but no one wonder if you use a licensed version of tmpgenc for instance.

hi,
tried higher priority settings for directshow filters on vfapi plugins page.. no better

avicodec shows this-

File : 1.55 GB (1.81 GB), duration: 1:34:13, type: MPG, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 80 %
Video : 1.66 GB, 2500 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 480*576 (16:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD), Supported
Audio : 150 MB, 224 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported

Your files are MPEG2. You should use a d2v project for opening them.

Lol. There is no "one", there is the one you will produce for that particular video.

What I mean is that you have to open dvd2avi, load the mpeg2 into it, save the project (taht's where the "d2v" is created) and make an avisynth script starting with "mpeg2source("nameoftheproject.d2v")".

This is this avisynth script that you will use as source for your job.
