Hey everybody,
In another thread, I mentioned buying a DVD player for $50. I realized this was hopeless so I saved a little and now am in the mood for buying a DVD player. I was thinking about buying the newer versions of the Sony NS300, but I heard the NS300 didn't play SVCDs! That's not good. Anyway, am I leaning towards the right decision? Also, at the store I will check the players with one of the samples on the main pages. Which sample should I use? Thanks for all your help.

Burn a couple of samples. The ones in the main page are 352x480, but you should also make a 704x480 KVCDx2 sample. Put them both in the same CD. One track each.

hey Bigswaffo,

when you go to the store to buy a dvd player I suggest bringing a kvcd sample burned onto 3 or 4 different brands and colors of cdr. My mother's Sony NS300 only plays the blue ones

If they won't let you play your samples on their players please post the name of the store so I will not ever shop there
