hiya,

i have an image which i want to alter. basically, i want to remove the text from the image, but somehow leave the background.

currently, i'm copying the nearby area surrounding the text fileds and then pasting these blocks on top of the text. of course this is too rough and stands out a mile. is there a way to "smooth" the area?

and, don't laugh now lord smurf, but i have only got paint shop pro to hand. can i do any tricks with this package?

or is photoshop the way to go?
and if so, what is the technique to remove the text?

again, i'm deeply in debt to you & the team.

Here are some Paint Shop Pro tutorials I found.

In Photoshop, to do this you would use the Clone Brush. I haven't used Paint Shop in years, but it appears to have a similar feature.

The trick is to zoom in, go slow, and use a small brush.
