Panasonic HS1000 image quality problem recurs?

Hi,

I have a problem with my Panasonic HS1000 VCR.
After cleaning the head the picture is of very good quality, but after a few hours the stripes and noise appear again.

thank you all for the answers on this matter. the reason why I am asking this is because PCIe cards are more accessible. just as i understand it will take a little longer to get the final mpeg2 file....
