Hi,

I have a problem with my Panasonic HS1000 VCR.
After cleaning the head the picture is of very good quality, but after a few hours the stripes and noise appear again.
After cleaning again everything is back to normal.

any idea?

It sounds like the head may be worn, as when the head is in good condition it 'self cleans' as the head tips have some friction. That's my first thought. Also clean (carefully) with a cotton but moistened with IPA under the static bleed at the top centre of the head. They can get contaminated and you end up with some picture noise.
