Could grab another card (or use the Blackmagic Intensity Pro I have, though I won't say that too loudly lest I get shamed ;) I have other computers for sure.) But the point is moot as I confirmed...

Unless I’m mistaken on how HuffYUV works, there’s still realtime encoding happening, no? My conclusion is that there’s some issue involving that. This is present even before the H264 conversion to...

I think the video circuitry went out, probably that entire board that's connected via the world's flimsiest ribbon cables. It had some sort of internal sync issue it looked like, there was just...

Well, I’m back again. I had to make some workflow changes as the SR-MV45 that I bought from LS gave up the ghost, so I’m on a VS30U that I got for a decent price. Also had to reinstall windows 7....

Yep. Internal SATA. Still booting off the SSD but I can't see why that would be an issue as it has enough RAM to not use the swapfile and everything necessary should be in RAM.

Tried a...

I'll put a spare drive in there today and see if that fixes it although I'll keep my doubts for now :P

If I recall it doesn't use standard ATX spacing for the motherboard mounting. It's been...

I've got an optiplex 9010, I originally had XP on it but it was just so hard to work with, the main issues being network drivers and random bluescreens. Windows 7 has been running smoothly, and I...

Capturing to OS drive, although it's not dropping many frames, and it's an ssd so it shouldn't have issues with bandwidth. The computer itself is a bit older, but considering the ATI dongle itself is...

I assume it should be the second option rather than the third?

Clearly not! Tried with the second option and got an overall desync of 356 seconds in a 656 second capture

VirtualDub audio speeds up, JVC rewind slipping?

Hello all! I'm having a couple of issues with my capture workflow. One somewhat minor, and one very major. First, my JVC SR-MV45 is having a curious rewind issue. It seems to slip and labor while...

JVC SR-MV45 head drum grinding noise?

Recently got a Smurf-Refurb'd workflow, but after playing a tape (poorly, many speed issues evident in the audio), it rewound at barely above real time speed, and it's now in a POST fail state and...
