I recently picked up a JVC HR-S9800U. When plugging into the wall socket, the TBC light will illuminate for a second and then the unit will power off. The front display does not show any text during the power cycle. My first step was to replace the fuse, but no luck.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Lookup the service manual and start probing for voltages.
