Sony VO-9800 Alignment issue?

So I have this deck.. I cleaned it, cleaned and oiled the reels, changed the carrier belt, the rear drive motor belt. the idler tire looked good so I didnt change it. I did not change the tape transport belt. Maybe thats w why this is happening. I will add the video but when powering on the unit acts as if it is playing a tape and moves halfway and stops. The only buttons that work are stop and eject. one moves it back to the beginning position and the other moves it back to half way. Any thoughts? [ATTACH]18123

Your light may be disturbing the sensors. if not that, i say dirty mod switch encoder

Thanks.. I needed a better tape and cleaning.

I have changed the pinch roller and still get a tension error 2 on the rewind. play and sound work good. Not sure where to go from here!
