On the AG-1980, which is the NTSC equivalent of the NV-F200 PAL deck, there's a switch on the front of the unit.
If it's not switch issue, then likely some of the capacitors have gone out on one of the chroma boards. I've seen that on AG-1980 units, too. Drying, bulged, or simply out-of-value caps are a common issue with Panasonic VCRs right now, as they're all within the age range of expiration. A skilled repairman needs to test the output of each cap, and unsolder and replace any that fall outside the specs dictated by the service manual.
