I see posts referring to Bluejeans, pearstone and monoprice for best quality s-video cables... but looks like only bluejeans has 3' cables... monoprice has nothing under 100ft, and pearstone also only long cables if you can find them.

In 2020, what is the best quality s-video and RCA I can get without spending $35 each? I need two s-video and 2-RCA for my capture setup and can't see spending $150+ for that... I also don't want junk. Any advice would be appreciated!

you are correct Pearstone (BHPhoto) no longer sells the 1.5 ft or 0.45 m cables in fact it appears they are closing out even the longer s-video cables out at discount prices

these are probably the next best 3 ft cables, but even they are selling at very steep discounts

Kramer Molded 4-Pin S-Video Male Cable (3')

I guess s-video is being discontinued every where now

In my own experience I don't think the BlueJeans s-video performs as well as earlier models.

Any cable would work just fine as long as it is well shielded, Unlike speaker wires, interconnects are very sensitive to noise but the good news is they are high impedance wires so the copper wire doesn't have to be thick, So two important things to consider, Better shielding and keep them as short as possible to reduce interference.

Monster cable made some good S-Video cables back in the day that they were selling for $75, those are available now for under $10 on eBay, you should get a pair of those, See if you can find RCA cables made by monster from back in that era too.
