Hello,

I own a JVC S9600U with the short, flat ribbon connector from the video head to
the main board slightly torn so that the left three wires are not making contact.
Can that connector be replaced ? If not, is there some kind of repair that
can be done to it ? Thanks in advance for any info.

Repairing it requires taking the head assembly a part to get to the rotary transformer wires and there is a high chance of breaking those human hair like wires, also it requires a head alignment afterwards. You can replace the whole head assembly from a faulty VCR or get another working VCR.
