I asked LS this one but I also want to ask everyone else. What is the best "PCI" TV Tuner to get and why? My new computer will only allow me to do pci so my old card is useless.

i've heard/read that the ATI Theater™ 650 tuner is pretty good.
pci version:
http://ati.amd.com/products/tvwonder650/pci/index.html
i've not tried it myself.

There's a lot of things you need to know about the modern ATI cards, what they can and cannot do, before jumping in. edDV and a few other folks at VideoHelp.com have followed the post-Radeon cards closely. I quit watching ATI, especially after AMD gobbled them up and seemingly dumped most of the video-related cards.

The only real choice you have for a PCI slot is a Hauppauge PVR 250 or 350 (not a 150).

There's also the PVR1600 - that one has a analog/digital/clear QAM tuner.

I have a few of the PVR 250 and 350's, and they work great.

I agree. I have the 250 and 350 myself, and they work wonderful.

Let me know if you're still looking for a PCI tuner, I've got a spare Hauppauge PVR-1600 you can have (just pay for my shipping, and it's yours). It's got the built in ATSC/NTSC tuner, but not clear QAM tuner. You can download the entire install/driver CD from their website.
