Hi, My TBC-1000 gave up today. I've set up my back up TCB-1000 but the blue screen looks a bit noisier than my original one did, although it doesn't seem to affect the capture. Any advice would be grateful. Thanks.

That is a test tape from the chap I bought the camcorder from, but I will pass on your concerns!

Ah, you too? See my ongoing thread here, your "green distortion" looks very similar to mine. I took some lemon juice and scrubbed the motherboard which worked for a moment... and after an hour here and there, I'm back to the same problem you're having. Anxiously awaiting a probable fix. What does the inside of your board look like?

When I posted yesterday I saw your post. I'm not even sure if mine will be fixed. I've put mine in the wardrobe so I don't have to look at it! I'm pinning my hopes on my other TBC-1000 or if everything else fails my ES10. I took two weeks holiday to give myself a head start, and the TBC gives up on the first day 20 minutes into the first capture. You couldn't make it up! I hope you get a fix for your TBC.

The first one almost look like it's only picking up the chroma signal (does it do this with both composite and s-video?) Would suspect maybe a lose connection or bad cap on the input line.
