I have a Tevion USB 2863 device that I hope to use for capturing VHS. I have seen the references to the "eMPIA-Driver(Tevion).7z" found elsewhere on this site. The instructions for installing the driver (found in the "eMPIA install.txt" file do not seem to be applicable to Windows 10. (or MAYBE my Tevion device is incompatible with the software found in "eMPIA-Driver(Tevion).7z"!)
In Device Manager, I see "USB 2863 Device" under the "Other devices" category - not the "USB EMP Audio device" I was expecting to see.
I did run the "eMPIA-Driver(Tevion).exe" program to install the drivers as instructed. In step 4 of the instructions, I do not have a "USB Audio Device" in the list to select.
When I install the drivers from the CD that came with the hardware, I can capture video but it appears to be dropping so many frames that the video capture is completely unusable.
Do I have the wrong Tevion device?

There are almost a dozen Tevion cards, no model name/number, most are junk.
None work beyond Windows Vista, officially. Depending on the card, some can be forced for Win7.
The ATI 600 USB clone version does not capture in Win10 anyway, the Win updates nuked the driver. Unknown case, no resolution. Win10 is a terrible capture OS, and this isn't one of the few cards that has escaped Microsoft's SD video capture destruction.

Thanks for the prompt reply!
I will be setting up an alternative boot drive for Windows XP. I'm eager to try out this new setup.

I know this topic is a bit aged, but my Tevion works in both Windows 7 and 10 using the Vidbox NW03 driver.
No stutter, no drops, it just works. It's much more fun capturing video than fighting drivers.

I only discovered it because the Tevion defaulted to that driver, and of course I had it (the NW03 driver) because I had an older Vidbox previously installed. It may not work for everyone, but it did for me and you.
My newer Vidbox, which I rather like, uses NW07.

Me thunk the blue fella was going to run a few tests…I’d love to learn the results.
