I have just completed one job of 65 tapes of Mini DV with no problems. I have started a new job most of them are HDV tapes they were transferred through mac on LifeFlix they lay back okay in VLC, but in Premiere Pro they will not export at all without bunch of errors. I have captured one video back using my Matrox MX02 through the HDMI and I think I see the problem with the video... yes I know this is not the proper way to transfer these, but I wanted to see.

Attached Files
File Type: mp4 Mini DV.mp4 (5.54 MB, 6 downloads)

HDV is captured via firewire using HDVSplit, It is the only right way I know of.

Are you on a Mac for all of this?

How does the video look in the camera viewfinder?

If you have a Canon HV series of HDV camera, you can output the video/audio via HDMI.

What did you convert? The lifeFlix captures?

And again, are you doing this all on a Mac?
