Looking for a >$100 S-Video>USB adpater for VirtualDUB (eBay prices)

I currently only have an elcrapo which I've had for about a decade now. On my current PC after a windows reinstall its only in black and white on virtualdub and OBS. I can confirm its not the vhs as using my $8 "AV * S-VIDEO TO HD" converter shows it in color but of course the picture is junk.

Going to be digitalizing Video8, Hi8 tapes (playback from a camcorder) and VHS tapes played through my Panasonic AG-1970p. All NTSC. PC is modern but I have a Thinkpad t440p just for digitization that I can throw XP SP3 or something similar on. If you need any more information please let me know.

$100 is cutting it too close. You'll just end up with other problems. Up it to $150, and then we have options.

- Did my advice help you? Then become a Premium Member and support this site.
- For sale in the marketplace: TBCs, workflows, capture cards, VCRs

Then the budget can be $200 if necessary. I will say Digital8 from a camcorder is going to be more important quality wise than vhs, as the most important vhs tapes I am digitializing were 8mm film to vhs so the quality is already pretty shot. You can only polish a turd so much.... lol
