S-VHS connection to Osprey 260e?

Im looking to improve on my current capture method. I was using the following:

JVC S-VHS -> Dazzler -> PC running OBS

Im looking to switch my workflow to:

JVC S-VHS -> Panasonic ES10 (purchased) -> Osprey 260e (purchased)

Ive looked around and cant find an answer to the following: is there an S Video to component cable that I can connect to the Osprey break out cable, or would I need another device in between the ES10 and the Osprey 260e?

I do see a reference to an S-Video Y cable in the Osprey documentation (see attachment) but havent been able to find one online for purchase outside of purchasing a new card.

Not that I needed another device to test, but this one looks interesting. What features made you decide to choose it over everything else that is out there? Seems to have had an oddly high retail price for what it was - around $600?

The actual pinout off of the DB15 connector is as follows from the user manual, but you could really use any S-Video to BNC connector if you have the original breakout cable. Luma connects to the green connector and chroma attaches to the red connector.

Personally, I'd just wire an S-Video cable to a fresh DB15 connector if you have some basic soldering skills.

Also from the manual showing it's a passive connection to the red and green connectors off of the main breakout cable if you don't want to just make your own DB15 cable.

It came down to cost on the secondary market, $80 for the card and cable as well as windows 11 support. I have a lightly used windows 11 desktop that I could put the card in. I did all sorts of google/forum searching and most people seem happy with the performance and results the card gives.

Ill be picking up one of those Y cables off ebay or amazon and post back with the results.

Last year after some researching I also ended up to purchase Osprey 260e as well to my first capture card, mostly from same reasons as You did. I had tried some cheap USB-stick with low-end VCR and I was disappointed to the quality. After doing some research I ended up to learn about lossless/raw capture etc. I have now a JVC SVHS with TBC and I'm quite happy with the results capturing my VHS-C tapes with Osprey. At some point I want to run some tests how Osprey compares to alternatives at reasonable prices (example Hauppauge USB-Live2 or IO Data GV-USB2 - should mention I live in PAL-land.)
