Hi all,

Over the last 2 years I have recorded NES, SNES, and Nintendo 64 video game footage onto VHS tapes. Now, when I import the NES and SNES footage into iMovie via my DAC-100 converter, the video skips a few frames every other second so that the footage is basically unwatchable. When I play the tapes in my VCR, though, they play fine. The N64 footage came out perfectly in iMovie, but the NES and SNES footage is all cut up.

Any thoughts on remedies to this problem? Thanks.

Could you post a sample long enough to show several cycles of this frame skipping? There may be patterns that give me a clue.

Yeah, post a sample. I'm thinking the fault here lies with the hardware or software, not the game systems.
Macs are honestly lousy computers to capture video with, unless you're using really high-end capture cards hardware (thousands of dollars).

And welcome to the site.
