Any new good Capture Cards released today?

Good, which TBC does the best job?
I read that the PCI one seems to be the best, and the other ones have a risk of being bad or can hur the image by softing or artifacts.

I need it to be able to do S-video in and out, along with composite.

the tbc-100 (not 1000) is the pci card type - it is impossible to find.
get one with s-video
the tbc-1000 and avt-8710 are generally recommended - they are 8bit
the 2 i have are 10-bit and while yo don't hear alot them - they work great or me.

Well that explains why i couldn´t find the PCI version when i was looking for it.

I see, well higher bit is better i suppose. But from what i understand, Analogue is 6 bit, and 8 bit is more than enough.

But Of the ones you have used, which one produces a "lossless" picture?

Please someone fill me in here . 8 bit TBC-1000? 10 bit TBC-1000 exist? Analog is 6 bits? Next thing I will hear is that JVC VCR's can run on gas. And, that perhaps they best run on unleaded gasoline to run at their best. By the way, I have 3 TBC-1000's that transfer video via fiber optic.

I don´t think that TBC-1000 exist in 10 bit, i think he meant that he does have 2 TBC's which work in 10 bit.

I am not sure that Analog is 6 bit, but i am pretty sure that VHS is in 6 bit. So when capturing, you need a bit more space than 6 bit to be able to get all the information.

So if your VHS is 6 bit, and you capture 6 bit, i think you will lose some information, not sure if it´s visual or not though.
But if you work at 8 bit, it´s more than enough to handle it.

I don´t think 10 bit will help if what you capture is at 6-7 bit.
But it will be of use the closer you get to 10.

the tbc-1000 is 8-bit - that is right on Datavideos website
i have a for.a fa-125 and bvtbc-10 - both are 10-bit

Well have ordered: All-In-Wonder VE Radeon 7500
So will probably get it in a month or so.

Now as this card probably can´t handle without a TBC (I think pretty much none can), i will need to get one.
And which is recommended for keeping the image as lossless as possible?

the TBC-1000 and AVT-8710 are the most recommended and are readily available

The AVT-8710 seem to have a risk with defective chipsets from what i read in the TBC thread.
How is it with TBC-1000?

Given your situation, being outside the USA, and not able to easily return anything, I'd get the TBC-1000.
The AVT-8710 is too much of a gamble for you.

Yeah my luck, it seems to cost like Twice as much as the AVT-8710;P

But it´s as you say better to pay to get working stuff then to try to be cheap, especially in my situation.

But so the TBC-1000 is always the same, it gives "lossless" picture and no bad artifacts or risks?

Does anyone have a TBC-1000 that´s not defective and want to sell it?
As i will have to get one, though i am still waiting for m AIW card, but a TBC is a must buy for me as else the card would be pretty much useless i guess;P
