Hello,

I have a lot of difficulties to find a TBC for sale in Europe.

AVT-8710 (CYP - CTB100 in Europe) or Datavideo TBC 1000 are quite impossible to find and I'd like to avoid important shipping costs and taxes when ordering in USA.

Do you have any experience with any of these models :

1) http://www.resource.holdan.eu/specs/...-1T-TBC-GL.pdf

It seems there is no audio input when using s-video ...

Is the "Genlock" tool something usefull for capturing VHS ???

2) http://www.for-a.com/products/fa125/fa125_c.pdf

I plan to capture my videotapes in 10 bits 4:2:2, but I notice the Fa/125-P TBC listed above is the only processing in 10 bits

the For.a fa-125 is an excellent TBC - i have had several
just make sure you get the P version for PAL tapes.

you dont need to run audio through a TBC - they are only for video

Ok Thanks.

I didn't expect the For.a fa-125 would be so expensive. Anyway I cannot find any 125pal (second hand) on the whole web...

Where in Europe are you?

You may have to buy a TBC from the USA, and import it.
I had to do the same thing to get good VCRs in years past -- import them from UK and Germany.
It's just what you have to do to get good gear.
