Hi,

I just realized that it is possible to capture directly to FFV1 with VirtualDub. But it only delivers files in an AVI container.

Does anyone know how to capture in a Matroska container (mkv)?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Buchsderbaum

Virtualdub can only capture to AVI. (Couldn't find the relevant issue on the bug tracker.)

It's possible to capture to .mkv (and a host of other formats) using ffmpeg. I have no idea how well it works though.
