The purple breakout box audio input is fine when the internal AUX channel connects the ATI AIW to the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz internally with the 4-pin cable. Less wires out of the computer, and helpful if you switch inputs often (as I do) between VCRs.

Barney dock? Is that British slang?

I'll check the cable itself when I get a chance, but I think jwillis is correct. Here's a capture of the ebay description:

The only model/part number markings on this "hub" are on the wire of the purple input connector, which says 6110018300 D. A picture is ideal to confirm, as I have seen some results showing the other variant instead. Sometimes the site will add a -B or just a D (both of which I've seen for this RF connector variant) to the end of that number.

The model/part number marking on the non-RF connector "hub" has 6110020700G on the purple input connector wire.

So it seems they do have different model numbers, but a picture may help confirm for certain.

A post on this forum from 2 years ago seconds what I've seen: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...html#post48393

I would suggest a note be added on the ATI MMC master thread, if there isn't already. Threads like this one tend to get lost to time, just like the one I referenced from 2 years ago. These model number differences may be useful to someone else at some point.

I got a hold of a cable and found the markings on one of the breakout cables.

The parts number is clearly visible.
