I've got some flash movies I've found around the web (mainly on Newgrounds) that I would like to convert to .avi (or a similair format), and I'm trying to find a good program that is either free or cheap that I can use to convert them.

So far, the only decent program I've found is Moyea SWF to AVI Converter, but it costs close to $100 to buy, and I simply don't have that kind of money to spend on a program. All the rest I've tried have the sound go out of sync with the video.

So does anyone have any experience with programs that can do this, and have any suggestions as to a good one I can use that will keep the sound in sync.

Thanks in advance

maybe you can use flash cs3 to do that conversion if you have the source.
Flash CS3/ File /export /export movie /drop-list / choose avi as output format.

I know I had answered this. The server had a "hiccup" on 4/7/2009, just a few days after this post, and the reply I made appears to have been lost. Sigh...

I've never had any luck with converting SWF to anything else. It's not very friendly to work with.

But when you made this post, I looked around, and was successful at converting a Mario Bros parody video from the Newgrounds website. It may have been the SWF2AVI converter that I tried, but I recall the audio lost sync on it.

I'll look into this again, when I get a chance. I almost think I found a VirtualDub work-around, will need to re-test.
