Hi, first of all I'm new here so I hope to be in the right topic.
I owned a combo DVD/VCR for a long time (Panasonic NV VP 33) which gave me really good results with PAL tapes when I digitized them. The audio quality was also almost flawless, without noticeable background noise but only some occasional pop sounds.
Today though I wanted to digitize a SECAM tape (bought in France), and the VCR displayed it in black and white. It's not my capture card because I tried all the PAL and SECAM options and I also tried two more capture cards, my LCD and my B&O CRT.
On the instructions manual it says I have to manually set the VCR to play SECAM tapes, but the menu I get when I press the Menu button on my remote is completely different than the one on the manual and the option is not there.
If anyone knows how to fix this problem let me know.
If I'll have to buy a new one, send me a PM. I want to be sure the quality is just as good as the one I have. There are a few Panasonic brand VCRs from eBay in France.
