Hi all,
It's been an exciting weekend as all of my capture hardware seems to be working well enough to use again. Now that I've got usable
HuffYUV AVI captures I want to take the next steps towards editing and publishing. With each tape I plan to have an interlaced file for storage on DVD, and another deinterlaced file for streaming and cloud storage.
My question today is about which computer I should be using to run QTGMC. On the AviSynth Wiki it is mentioned that QTGMC is demanding on system hardware. That said, should I even attempt to run QTGMC on my XP capture PC, or should I use a more powerful PC running 64 bit Windows 7 with a quad core i7, SSD, and 16 GB ram for deinterlacing? I have VirtualDub2 and
HuffYUV 2.1.1 installed on my Windows 7 PC if that information is of any use.
