I've captured several long tapes with varied content into HuffyYUV avis. I'm planning on doing minimal processing on them to make them watchable using Hybrid (deinterlace with QTGMC, fix aspect ratio, add chapter markers, encode).

Is there any program with an iMovie like timeline (screenshot of what I'm talking about) that I can use to make chapter files I can import into Hybrid later? I've previously done some captures in iMovie, and it made it really easy to scrub through a long video, identify interesting transitions, and put in chapter markers. I've got a lot of tapes, and I think it will be too tedious, inefficient, and error prone to try to figure out where the chapters should go and key them in without a timeline feature.
