Huffyuv AVI
Windows 7 x64
Avidemux 2.6.11 (current version)

Huffyuv installed. VirtualDub sees it, encodes it.
Avidemux does not. Unable to drag preview bar when file opened. Playing freezes on first frame, shows all green. Dotted lighter green at top of frame.

Any idea what's wrong here?

I know Avidemux is buggy, but it at least opens files on other systems.
Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Avidemux act the same.

Setting up new systems is annoying. So much fails to work correctly without lots of effort.

There were two issues:

1. The problem was the resolution. Quality encoders like MainConcept, or NLEs like Premiere, will throw a fit if you try to give it odd resolution source. For example, widescreen 16x9 HD content downscaled to 720x405, which is an approximate rounded-down resolution. It needs to be either x404 or x406. Even then, some encoders will gripe if it's not div 4. Avidemux just crashes and/or has odd problems.

2. Avidemux 2.6.10 and 2.6.11 refuse to work. But 2.6.4 has no issues.
