Happy New Year!..To members and Staff!...Have been working 2 jobs, busy, busy holidays, now over!..I have started using VLC Media Player for converting .avi to .mp4 because I understand the interface, seemed to work great for a quick conversion to share on a railroad video website.(Trainorders.com,username Railrat) Preferred file format is mp4. First converted file used VLC to convert to mp4, and uploaded file worked fine. It was a .avi that was short enough to throw into VLC and convert/upload. 2nd one I uploaded was one that had to be split in Virtual Dub for desired scene, but I failed to hold down the SHIFT key in Virtual dub while setting the in/out points, Plus I checked the "De-Interlace" checkbox in VLC converter before processing. The file has audio when I play it here at home with VLC, but there is No Audio on the website video, after the website encoded it...I think the problem is on my end however, because they seem to have their act together!
