Sure. To be clear, for possible samples it doesn't matter whether I use Avisynth or VapourSynth. The results are pretty much identical.

I may be 8 weeks behind on this thread but Rocko and I seem to be in a very similar place in our projects. i would very much love to learn Avisynth so you would hit two birds with one stone with any test scripts or other advice you give.

If you'd like a test lesson and a sample script, why aren' t you doing what other readers have been doing for years? Downloading sample problem videos in the capture and restoration forum posts and using the Avisynth scripts shown in those posts to fix the problems? For a more personal approach -- and even more apropo for your own work and easier than scrubbing around forever looking for relevant posts -- you could start a thread that downloads samples of your own video problems or questions. Rocko is allowed to read your threads, just as you're allowed to read his or others'. That's what a forum is for.

Or try this sequence of ancient posts from a couple years back that goes into crazy detail with Avisynth and Virtualdub for several following posts. They feature many script details, and even a sample of one of my sister's muffed videos as well as the original poster's sample problem.
