I'm having no luck with DAP & MAndrill playing together. Maybe you have some ideas. Thanks!
Here's what I sent to Mandrill:
Quote:
I'm trying to integrate Digital Access Pass (DAP) with Mandrill. I have tried every combination of documented port (25, 465, 587, and 2525) and/or SSL. I even spun a new API key. All I get from DAP is a painfully generic error of:
2013-09-05 22:06:44:in sendEmail: SMTPServer: smtp.mandrillapp.com, Batch Size: 4000
2013-09-05 22:06:54:Error in sending email To: x.com, Subject: Lost Password, Body: !----- STORE THIS EMAIL IN A SAFE PLACE -----!
Yes, this -IS- the detailed log setting (times are CDT -6). It's not much use. Also, it sends fine using its internal mailer, but our host isn't set up to directly handle our expected email traffic levels. I can say with the current credentials for our "admin@.com" account, it WILL work with Outlook, so I know that much is correct, but even in using those -exact- settings, we got the error in DAP. I was not so lucky testing with Eudora, but I did -not- test it that extensively.
You would think it should be as simple as plugging in the credentials, server, and port. Not so. We are looking to ramping up our business to the 1-5 MILLION messages/mo. level by year end. We are presently stuck with DAP, but are hoping to use Mandrill aross ALL our properties. We like the features. Perhaps you can offer some assistance beyond the two indirect references to DAP in the knowledge base?
I have also opened a ticket with DAP, but they've had a forum request for this same info open for a YEAR with no reply.
