I have a JVC SR-MV55 that is not loading tapes. As soon as I attempt to load a tape, it struggles for a bit, and then completely shuts down. I know nothing of VCR repair, but it appears to me that the loading mechanism isn't allowing the tape to seat properly. It had previously been working, then suddenly it was not the next time I tried using it. I wondered if my 3 year old had possibly been messing with it and shoved something into it, but after opening the case and doing a visual inspection, I see no evidence of that. Here is a video of the behavior. Has anybody experienced this? I'm wondering how big of a repair this might be to get the unit working again. Any advice?

Only thing I can see is that it looks like the loading motor is maybe not running. Will probably take a little more troubleshooting to find out why it's not running.
