I have a JVC HR-DVS3U VHS and the eject mechanism not ejecting. I have had this machine for a few years now and it was fully refurbished when I bought it but now when I insert a VHS tape, rewind it and it wont eject consistently. It was stuck in a partially ejected position for quite sometime. I powered off and on several times. I tried the eject button several times. I unplugged the VCR several times with now luck. While I was researching solutions it randomly tried to eject and retract but was "stuck" and struggled for a bit. It eventually did cycle and return to the retracted position. I will attempt to add a few photos and video of it. If I could get some help on why this is doing this and what remedy or solution you may have would be appreciated..
Well, the noise is the the loading motor belt slipping which is off to the right of the deck, but at the same time, it shouldn't be failing to get the tape to the full eject position, so something is definitely jammed in loading tray tracks or on one of the locking mechanisms. Hard to really describe what to do about it other than to look at where it could be jamming and lightly manually rotate the loading motor gear with the unit unplugged to see if you can get it to manually eject, but you don't want to force anything.
I can't look at your attached video now, but Florida is a location where VCRs have more failures, due to climate. I've always had concerns about how your decks would age there. Bands and lube are the common fail point, but VCR motors seem to give out at a higher rate, too.
Loader works crookedly, it is not working synchronously both sides. In the case of Panasonic, this usually means that someone has not assembled and installed the loading mechanism correctly. Not sure about JVC, but perhaps you need to check all alignments in accordance with SM.
I doubt you want to send it to Europe But anyway - no I repair only my own VCRs. Perhaps you can find a tech here, it really does not looks like a very big problem on first sight. However if something is broken, donor mechanics may be needed.
