I came across recommended Digital transfer Settings for a similar S-VHS deck here

Once I set my settings the same way as the first post, I noticed the picture is much clearer, but I get a strange Ghosting around edges. Is there a way to remove this ghosting & still keep the sharpness & contrast turning video calibration to "off" & picture control to "NORM" brings?

Old Settings (softer, but no ghosting)



New Settings (Much Sharper, but notice the ringing/ghosting around the edge of her shoulder?)

Do you ever figure this out? If so, what was it?

Unfortunately, you didn't attach the images to this thread, and they were lost on whatever external site was used.

What you describe is very odd, but would need to see a sample image.
